Uploading to Snapizzi is an additive process, meaning that when you upload in batches of up to 500 images, you won’t overwrite any previously uploaded images. Each batch is simply added to the existing images in the project.
While Snapizzi doesn’t alter EXIF data, it relies on it during image processing. If your editing software changes or adds new EXIF data, ensure that all images (including camera cards) are processed consistently before uploading to Snapizzi. Accurate timestamps are essential, so make sure your camera’s time is set correctly.
It’s critical not to change EXIF data for only part of your images, as this is how Snapizzi differentiates between cameras in multi-camera projects. If EXIF data is inconsistent, Snapizzi might assume the images are from different cameras, causing indexing errors. If EXIF data is stripped and your project indexes by time, switch to filename-based indexing if needed.
For workflows that involve renaming files before uploading, ensure filenames have leading zeros (e.g., 0001-9999) to maintain proper indexing. Snapizzi can rename your image files after processing for you if needed.
Snapizzi will alert you of any EXIF-related issues during upload, and failed uploads will be flagged. If an upload is canceled, the filename will indicate "Canceled." You’ll receive email notifications and updates via the Message Center once the project is processed. Be aware that subsequent uploads will reindex the project and trigger a "Project Ready" email. You can disable email notifications if desired.
