Customize Your Snapizzi Data Project Camera Cards

Updated over a month ago

Snapizzi makes it simple to embed our Data Matrix codes into customized labels, tags, and badges using Avery's free Design & Print software. While Avery products are commonly used, you aren't limited to them—you can use the Avery templates to fit any end use you need.

Once your Data project is set up, export your Subject List (which you will import into Avery's software in the following steps).

Step #1: Open Design & Print and click "CREATE A NEW PROJECT".
Step #2: Choose your layout.
Step #3: After selecting the layout, choose your design.
Step #4: Click on "QR and Barcodes".
Step #5: Click on "Add QR / Barcode".
Step #6: Select "Spreadsheet" and then click "NEXT".
Step #7: Upload the Subject List.
Step #8: Uncheck the box to indicate that your CSV file has headers and click "Next".
Snapizzi uses Data Matrix codes, not QR codes. There is a difference so be sure to select Data Matrix as your format in the next step. QR codes are not readable by Snapizzi.
Step #9: Select "Data Matrix" as the format and then drag "Snapizzi Subject Code" to the box and click "Finish".
Step #10: Adjust the size and position of the code (keep it as large as possible to ensure proper scanning). Then click "Import Data" to add custom text and chosen fields to the layout.
Step #11: Once your design is complete, select "Preview & Print" and you're ready to go!

Adding QR Codes to Data Project Cards

Step #12: Although Data Project cards are primarily designed for photographer use, you can easily add a QR code to your custom design if needed to suit your workflow. When scanned, this QR code will take customers directly to their gallery on your connected platform, bypassing the need to visit your Snapizzi Studio Search Page. The gallery URLs are contained in the downloaded Subject List.To do this, repeat step nine and select QR code instead of a Data Matrix code, using the gallery URLs from the Subject List as the source data.
Step #13: Once your design is complete, select "Preview & Print" and you're ready to go!
We suggest that you run tests on your custom design to ensure accurate scanning by Snapizzi.
